Water and Sewer Rates
The Franklin County Department of Sanitary Engineering prides itself on providing high-quality water and sewer services at the lowest possible cost to its ratepayers. Rate revenues must cover the day-to-day expenses incurred to operate the water and sewer systems as well as to support ongoing maintenance and improvements that comply with federal and state agencies aimed at protecting health as well as the environment. In addition, rate revenues also pay for the cost to purchase potable water and the transportation of wastewater from the City of Columbus Department of Public Utilities. These overall approaches ensure a reliable and productive system. Below are the County’s 2021 water and sewer rates. Note that water and sewer bills are issued quarterly. New update!
