Water and Sewer Capacity Fees
Capacity fees are assessed on a one time basis when a customer desires to connect to the water distribution and/or sanitary sewer system. These fees pay for the capital improvements associated with expansions and improvements to the water and wastewater system. The capacity fees are determined by the size and number of water taps providing domestic water supply to a premises. Capacity fees are as follows:

Payment of capacity fees is required prior to making a connection to the system. Once capacity fees are paid, the County will issue a permit to the customer allowing you to make the connection to the system. Payment of fees and issuance of permits can be made at the following address:

Note that only approved contractors are permitted to make connections to the County’s water and wastewater systems. Please contact the County for a listing of approved contractors. Permits are valid for a period of 90 days. Fire protection taps are charged at one-half the rates specified above. An additional inspection fee of $85 is charged for all new connections and repairs to existing connections, and is due when collecting your permit.
